Bambi is visiting our garden the last weeks!
he thought- may be a deer.
I thought that was the best news in ages, not because I hate our roses, but I loved the idea that a deer
was visiting our garden!:-)
Three weeks ago Mart had a -nice-shock, when he was in the kitchen in the early afternoon, and saw the deer walking through our wild side of the garden. I thought it was a pitty that I didn't see it also, but the deer is a regular visitor of the garden now, just this afternoon I saw her 3 times, she comes to eat roses and a bit of grain, so I am very happy!
I took the next pictures from the kitchen window.
I thought in the next picture, that she looks very much like Skippy, the kangaroo, a hero from my
youth:-)
Last week they came to mow the alfalfa field at the back of our house, and Mart saw a little deer
running in panic, it must be her young. At evening we saw them walking together in the back of the
field.
The next day I mentioned some gulls above the field, and since I need glasses but only wear them when I want to see something on tv, I thought that they may had a nest there, because I saw something on the ground.
When I went to the mystery shape, I discovered that it was a death young deer:-(( The legs were mowed off by the machine, we think that our lady deer had 2 youngsters, and this was a very unfortunately one....
To end a bit happier, here is a piece of film I made on my photocamera, ( no HD quality!:-)) and
I want to thank Mart for the background sounds!
